Go and Make Disciples
I know the Bennetts have had a lot going on lately, but we are so excited to share with our friends and family that we have been called to help plant Inspiring Hope Church in Hamilton, Ohio with the Mangrum family!!
Ben Mangrum is currently a resident pastor at Grace Point Fellowship and we have loved getting to know him and his wife, Brittany, and their mission and vision for the church! Through this pandemic, Orville and I were meeting with both of them via FaceTime to study the word and we just knew God had something exciting planned for our friendship with this sweet family! We would get off of every call saying, “Man, we just love them!!”
Our time at Grace Point Fellowship has been so precious to us! We’ve created so many new friendships, learned things about ourselves and most importantly grew in our faith! Orville and I, both, are extremely grateful for Reagan’s leadership and love for sharing God’s word! And we truly feel inspired by him to go out and make more disciples! You see, this isn’t a split to us! This is just multiplication at work! We’re so excited to be building God’s kingdom! It isn’t about growing one church, it’s about growing His church! It’s about growing His kingdom! And that’s what we are about!
Orville and I fasted and prayed over this decision and at the end of our fast we talked about what God had revealed to each of us separately, and knew right away that God was calling us to go!
Orville’s verse was from Matthew 9:37-38 and it says: “He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.””
My verse was from Matthew 28:19-20 and it says: “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.””
God uses so many things to speak to us, but I love when we get confirmation directly from His Word!! That same night, we shared with our kiddos what we had been praying about and told them to pray with us before we met with Ben and Brittany the next day! Ashtyn wasn’t quite sure about how he felt at first, but we prayed together and God confirmed, yet again, that this was His plan for us!
Ashtyn shared this verse from Luke 4:18 with us the next morning: ““The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free,”
Anyway, I just wanted to share my heart!! We are so excited about this new adventure! We are thankful we get to be a part of sharing Jesus with others! We’re excited to help launch Inspiring Hope! We’ll continue to be at Grace Point with the rest of our core team until our official launch in the spring of 2021! So, if you would, pray with us!! Pray for Grace Point Fellowship as they continue to grow and share God’s word!! And pray for Inspiring Hope, as our core team starts to put all the pieces together and gets ready for take off!! In the words of Channing Mangrum, pray that God “brings the people and saves the people!” ?
